Fundraising Chair

The WCA Lifetime Achievement Awards are a proud 30 year tradition of
honoring women who make significant contributions to feminism and the
visual arts.  PLEASE help us in raising the  needed funds for this
inspiring event, which is funded entirely by contributions.

This year’s raffle prize, pictured below, is donated by Eleanor
Speiss-Ferris, a noted Chicago artist who’s been exhibiting her work
for over 30 years.  She’s donated a richly jewel toned  lithograph
titled “THE LIFE CYCLE OF THE MOTH”( 19″ x 19”).

3  TICKETS  FOR   $ 30
Ticket stubs and money may be mailed by Feb. 6th to our New York WCA

the raffle committee,  Riko Takata or Dale Osterle.  Tickets may also
be given to the monitors at the WCA table in the CAA Book Fair by Feb
13th. The drawing will be held on Sunday afternoon, February 14th.

As we did last year for fun and extra incentive,  prizes will be
awarded to the chapters with the most sold tickets.
The winning
chapters will be announced shortly thereafter by email.

exhibition card costs
SECOND PRIZE   $  75    gift card for art supplies or

Last year, St Louis earned the first prize, Washington D.C. received
the second prize and the California South Bay got the third prize.
Thanks to all who helped make last year’s raffle such a success!  Our
combined efforts  raised over $ 3000, a significant increase over the
year before,…..We’re hoping we can do as well this year.  As you
know, all proceeds go directly to the costs of the event and
catalog.   If your  chapter members purchase tickets online ,and you
wish to count them in the chapter competition, please include  their
names on the reporting sheet with  the other tickets you sell .

This year the awards will be held on Saturday Feb 13th, at 7:30 pm.

place at the Chicago Cultural Center, 77 East Randolph Street in

I'm a fat feminist activist artist...if you have any buttons I want to push them. I am currently working on an installation about the so called "Obesity Crisis." Right about now I would like to shove a big old apple in Michelle Obama's mouth so that she would keep it closed. No offense but she's not making anything better by getting parents and children all obsessed with FAT...Listen to your own bodies folks the answer is there. Oh yes...and send me your diet books...I need them all.
