Studio visits give you a chance to see women artists at work, how they organize their space, time and surrounding life. It also supports working artists of WCAMI. This month Elizabeth Wilson will open her space, VEO Art Studio, to talk about her work and give a demonstration in her sculpture techniques.

Meet Elizabeth Wilson
In 2012, after working at the University of Michigan for many years in research, medical education, and information technology, I returned to making art. My main focus is on figure sculpture however I enjoy watercolor painting and charcoal figure drawing. As to the subject matter – I want to offer an alternative expression, in my female figure sculpture, to that of the male view on the female figure. I teach portrait and figure sculpture, basic drawing, and figure drawing at VEO.
VEO Art Studio offers a variety classes and workshops ranging in topic from drawing, sculpture, painting, creative studio process, art of mandala, jewelry/healing beads, mixed media and more. Classes and workshops are taught by a number of local artists. At this time most offerings are for adults (13 years or older). We have just started youth programs this spring and we plan to add options for all ages in time. See the website, www.veoartstudio.com for more information and online register.
