WCA EVENT – What Galleries Expect from Artists

Saturday, May 11, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Ann Arbor District Library, 3rdfloor “freespace” room,

343 S. Fifth Street, Ann Arbor

Artists and galleries need one another to make art known to a wider public. This talk aims to shed light on the dynamics that shape those relations so artists can learn how to choose the “right” gallery, negotiate clear conditions from the beginning, and build rapport with a gallery which will turn into a nurturing and long-lasting mutual success.

Daniela Gobetti is a philosopher by training and profession, and a bilingual writer in Italian and in English,  occasionally writing poetry in both languages. She is now a professional photographer, her work has received numerous recognitions in international competitions and will be part of SwissArtExpo 2019. Gobetti wasborn and raised in Turin, Italy, and now lives in the United States. See more of her work at: http://www.danielagobetti.com/
